Our Christian value –Peace
The children have worked hard this week to explore peace and remembrance both in their RE lessons and in Collective Worship. We observed a two minute silence in our own Act of Remembrance and each class made their own poppy wreath. We have made some large poppies out of recyclable materials to go into our Reflection garden.
Service Pupils Service at Ripon Cathedral
Children of our service families who are in KS2 will be representing our school at 1pm today in Ripon Cathedral for the Annual Service to celebrate and give thanks for the contribution of our service families. This is always a special occasion.
Congratulations to Class 4 on their Parental Assembly this week
A special thank you to everyone who came to support Class 4 on Thursday morning.
Everyone described this as an outstanding assembly and it really was! We shared in their learning about Space and heard them recite and dramatise the ‘Highwayman’ poem. They inspired us all to be Saints with their work on St Francis and Mother Teresa.
There was also a wonderful recap in pictures and music of their time at Marrick Priory overcoming all kinds of challenges on high ropes and in water.
Parent Teacher Consultations
Thank you for your support and excellent attendance; it is good to work so well in partnership with you.

Church School Inspection Tuesday 15th November
As a Church of England Aided School we have a Church School one day inspection about every 5 years. In 2012 we received an Outstanding judgement. We will be inspected again on Tuesday 15th November.
The prime purpose of the inspection is to evaluate the extent to which our school is distinctively Christian, reflecting Christian values which are embedded in everything we do. It evaluates the positive impact this Christian ethos has on the children, families and all in our school community. The inspector will consider Collective Worship, Assembly, visits to Church, other school visits, work in RE, charity work, links with our Parish and how our Christian values run through everything we try to do.
The Church School Inspection process does not have a formal parental questionnaire as Ofsted does but if you would like to make any comments to support our inspection on Tuesday please put them in an envelope and return to school by 9am on Tuesday. Please label the envelope: ‘Church School Inspection’. You may also email me on: firstname.lastname@example.org
Many thanks as ever for your support.
