Our Christian value –Peace
This half term we are focussing on Peace as our Christian values. On All Saints Day we thought about how we can all be Saints today, especially by following our Golden Rules. Next week we will focus on Remembrance; poppies are on sale in school from today. Rev Yvonne will come into school to lead an age appropriate Act of Remembrance.
Congratulations to Class 3 on their Parental Assembly this week
A special thank you to everyone who came to support Class 3 on Thursday morning. They shared their learning in class this term with a special focus on their Tudor topic. We found out more about their visit to Bolton Castle and a re-enactment of the Battle of Bosworth. Their drama, speaking and music were excellent. We shared in their Science experiments on electricity, fun ways to learn times tables and thoughtful reflections on the meaning of the Lord’s Prayer.
A Wonderful Celebration Wedding for Year 1 and 2 Children

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal
Thank you to those people who have already brought in a shoebox. Leaflets about this were sent home before half term and there are more in the office. Our shoeboxes will be collected from school on the morning of Monday 14th November. In our Collective Worship we looked at children in other parts of the world who were helped by this. Each class is making a joint box so you may also bring in an item to contribute to this.
PE clothing for outdoor wear
Children are continuing with outdoor PE and need a named pair of track suit trousers in their PE bags. These should be different from tracksuit trousers/waterproof trousers which the children can wear at playtimes to go on the field. They also need outdoor PE shoes they can wear on the field. Please, please name all clothing.
