Dear Parents,

Fun Run for Children in Classes 1 and 2 at  Richmond School

All of Class 1 and 2 will attend this event on Tuesday morning 11th July at Richmond School. Please send a PE kit, water bottle, snack, hat and apply/send suncream. The children will be back in school in time for lunch.

Ripon Cathedral Leavers Service for Year 6 children

Our Year 6 children took part in this service on Tuesday afternoon and did an excellent job leading some of the singing. They enjoyed celebrating their time at Primary School with other Y6 children from Church Schools across the Diocese. Each school was asked to take a piece of art work and ours, along with others is on display in the Cathedral. All welcome, entry free.

Reception Parental Reports and Meetings

Reception children have received their reports today. Mrs Reynolds is holding parental consultation meetings for Reception parents next Wednesday 12th July in the afternoon. Please sign up for a slot in the office entrance area or phone the office.

Year 6 reminders

Induction Days for Richmond and SFX Schools  next week beginning Monday 10th July. Please refer to the letters sent directly to you from the schools.

Academy Consultation Meeting for Parents Wednesday 12th July in school at 6pm

A reminder that this parent’s meeting is a good opportunity to ask questions and discuss the possible proposal for Academy conversion.

Clubs continue until the  week of10th July

Helpers needed to join the Cookery Club Team Please speak to Mrs Dobson if you would like to join the fantastic team of regular cookery club leaders.

Summer Fair

On Friday 14th July we will hold our annual Summer Fair starting at 1.30pm with the children Maypole dancing. There will then be a variety of stalls, refreshments and activities for everyone to enjoy. Please put this date in your diary and bring family and friends.

We welcome donations of cakes, toys, books, games, soft toys.

 We also need helpers to set up and run our stalls. Please let Beth Wheldon know if you can help or email:the.wheldons1@gmail.com

Class Hampers for Summer Fair Raffle

Friends of the School are asking each class to produce a hamper on a particular theme. Please send a contribution into school by Monday morning so the hampers can be put together. These are the themes:

Class 1 Hamper – Summer

Class 2 Hamper – Games, Puzzles

Class 3 Hamper- Arty Crafty

Class 4 Hamper – Sporty

Raffle Tickets These are included for sale with the newsletter. Thank you in advance for supporting.

Safeguarding at the Summer Fair

After the children finish their Maypole dancing those in Classes 3 and 4 are able to browse the fair under the supervision of school staff. Children in Classes 1 and 2 will return to their classroom and will need collecting by a parent/known adult to visit the fair. If the adult collecting your child is not known to school staff, please inform school in writing before Friday. If you are not able to send someone to explore the fair with your child they will be taken round by one of our school staff. At 3.30pm the fair will finish and staff will supervise the gate as normal. Please send money to spend in a named purse.

Friends of the School Fundraising Night Friday 21st July

Fos have organised a Gin Night at The Black Bull, Moulton on Friday 21st July. Tickets, £25 to include: tapas, drinks on arrival; 3 further samples; a talk on gin with their mixologist. Non-alcoholic option

Open2All Family Service at St Mary’s Church Bolton-on-Swale on Sunday 9th July at 3pm

Everyone is welcome to this child friendly family service with refreshments.
