Class 2 Parental Assembly reminder Thursday 23rd March
A reminder that all parents and carers of children in Class 2 are invited to join us next Thursday 23rd March at 9.30am in the school hall. We look forward to sharing with Class 2 in all their learning this term.
Term Dates for the Academic Year 2017-2018
A copy of the term dates and holidays for the next academic year are being sent home tonight. They are also on our website.
Cross Country County Final
We have 4 children representing the school at the final next week. We wish them the very best: Scarlet Hunter; Ashton Newall; Archie Tulip and Finlay Tulip.
County Football Final
We are very proud of our Y5/6 Boy’s Football team who are representing the north of the county at Tadcaster Stadium on Saturday 25th March.
Supporting the Comic Relief Charity on Friday 24th March
Our School Council have planned and discussed how we will support this charity.
Children may bring £1 in from now on to purchase a red nose or wrist band.
On Friday 24th March we will have a non-uniform Day or children may wear red. We are asking for a £1 contribution for Comic Relief.
School Swimming after Easter
All children from Y1 upwards will swim with school and qualified instructors at Catterick Swimming baths for a 10 week series of lessons starting the first week after Easter. Letters have been sent home with more details.
Marrick Residential Visit Information Meeting for Year 6 in September 2017
All our current Year 5 children have received a letter inviting them to an information meeting about this year’s visit on Tuesday 4th April at 6pm.This meeting is at here at Bolton-on-Swale School this year.
Helpers needed to join the Cookery Club Team Please speak to Beth Wheldon if you would like to join the fantastic team of regular cookery club leaders.
Easter Activities and traditions at Bolton-on-Swale
On the morning of Thursday 6th April the children are asked to bring in a decorated hard boiled egg and an Easter bonnet/hat if they wish. They also need a spare hard boiled egg for the egg rolling in the afternoon. Prizes are awarded in age categories and the eggs and bonnets are on display. Friends of the School will also run an Easter tombola and the children will need 50p to take part in this.
On the afternoon of Thursday 6th April at 2pm you are invited to join us to watch the children roll their eggs. We will also present the prizes donated by Friends of the School for the egg decorating and bonnet competitions. On Friday 7th April at 2pm you are invited to join us at St Mary’s Church for our Easter Service, led by the children.
