KS 2 Cross country on Thursday 9th March at Catterick Racecourse
KS2 children attending this event have had details and should have returned their consent slips. A reminder to bring tracksuit trousers, trainers to run in and a drink and snack (the children need these in school with them as they will be seated separately from spectators). You are welcome to spectate and are asked to follow the designated parking signs and to sit in the designated viewing area. Instructions for spectators are given by the organisers as follows: Parents and spectators are asked to go to the designated viewing area. Parents should remain in this separate area for the duration of the races. After the final race they will be able to join schools for the presentation. These measures are for children’s safety – to ensure they are not mingling with unknown adults.
The times of the race are as follows:
1.10pm Y3 Boys 1.25pm Y3 Girls
1.40pm Y4 Boys 1.55pm Y4 Girls
2.10pm Y5 Boys 2.25pm Y5 Girls
2.40pm Y6 Boys 2.55pm Y6 Girls
3.10pm Staff race
If you have completed the form indicating you will be collecting your child at the race course you will need to wait until 3.30pm, the end of the races to collect them. Please ensure you tell Mrs Jones or Mr Ramsbottom that you have taken your child. Children returning to school on the coach with staff will be back at approximately 4pm.
Building work in school next week
We are expecting work to start next Monday 6th March on resurfacing part of the Class 1 and 2 outdoor area with a non-muddy wet pour surface. This means that Classes 1 and 2 will need to enter and leave school through the main hall doors. We expect work to be completed by the end of the week but if is very wet the contractors may be on the school site over the weekend of 11th to 12th March.
Friends of the School News Bags2School Thank you for supporting this - £52 was raised.
