Dear Parents,

An Outstanding Church School Inspection Report

Our Church School Inspection report graded us as Outstanding in all areas.

“The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Bolton-on-Swale as a Church of England Primary School are outstanding.”

"The school's distinctive character ensures that all are included and standards of learning are high. Behaviour is excellent."

Following our inspection on Tuesday 15th November we have now received our full report. This has been sent home with the children in paper form and uploaded onto our school website. We are delighted with the outcome which reflects everything that we value so highly  about our children, school and community. The inspector was also an Ofsted Inspector and we felt the process was very rigorous.

Congratulations to our Y5/6 Boys Football Team - winners of the Richmondshire Area Tournament

Having qualified for the final as winners of the Swaledale Area our Y5/6 boys played superbly well in the tournament this week, beating Bedale Primary in the final. They have now qualified for the North Yorkshire Youth Games in 2017. A special thank you to Mr Ramsbottom and parents who have worked hard to support the boys.

‘Superstar ‘– our Nativity Performance

We hope you now have your tickets for our performances next week; Tuesday 6th December 2pm and Wednesday 7th December 6pm. For the evening performance the children need to be back at school by 5.45pm, in time to put their costumes on. If you are not staying for the evening performance please come into school to collect your child for 7pm. Please bring your tickets with you for entry to the performance.

Thank you for your understanding about ticket allocations. We have over 70 families in school and a hall fire safety limit.
