Dear Parents,
Collective worship focus this week
The focus for our Collective worship this week has been exploring how we can be our best selves. We have revisited good manners; please, thank you, excuse me, good morning. We have also thought about our relationships with others and how we can understand one another better.
National Road Safety Week – as the nights get darker please be careful crossing the road and on pavements with your bikes and scooters.
‘Stable Manners ‘– our Nativity Performance
You are warmly invited to join us for our whole school Nativity Performances on Tuesday 12th at 2pm and Wednesday 13th December at 6pm. Please complete the slip at the end of this letter to indicate your ticket requirements. This is a whole school performance involving 105 children so hall space is limited by fire regulations.
Costume requirements Details of these have been sent home by your child’s class teacher today. We have some costumes in school and try to keep requests simple. Parents are often able to share costumes from previous years with others. Please ask us if you are unsure at all and we will help.
Donations for Christmas Hampers
Friends of the school sell raffle tickets at both Nativity performances to raise money for school funds. Each class is organising a hamper and would welcome contributions of items on their class theme.
Class 1: Toyshop; Class 2: Around the World; Class 3: Pamper hamper;
Class 4: Yorkshire hamper.
School Photographs
Photograph orders are being sent home with the children tonight.
Friends of the School
The Friends of Bolton-on Swale Primary School wish to adopt a new constitution. We are required to give all members 21 days’ notice and an Extraordinary General Meeting will take place on Friday 8th December at 3.30 pm in school. Copies of the proposed new constitution can be found in the school entrance or Friends noticeboard. If you have any questions please contact FOBS Secretary, Jill Crosbie email: jillcrosbie206@hotmail.co.uk
Richmond Parish Church Choir
We enjoyed an excellent singing workshop with Chris Denton the musical director at Richmond Parish Church. He is recruiting boys and girls for the choir and was impressed with the high standard of our singing. Some children have taken additional information about joining. Chris Denton can be contacted on: chrisdenton@gmail.com
